Create a coherent interface flow and explain how components and prototype interactions support its purpose.
Figma UI/UX Design & Prototyping is a 6-hour Professional Short Course in Design & Digital Experience. Develop focused capability through practical examples and user-centred thinking.
Who this course is for
Learners progressing beyond introductory Figma use into applied interface design and prototyping.
Entry guidance
Familiarity with Figma frames, layers and basic editing is recommended. Complete Figma for Beginners first if those skills are new. Confirm software access, delivery arrangements and any learning adjustments with RDE before enrolment.
Learning themes
Indicative themes describe the intended focus. RDE confirms the delivery syllabus and activities before enrolment.
- Reusable components, layout and interface consistency
- Design-system foundations and collaborative workflows
- Interactive flows, prototype review and iteration
Practical activity
Example activity: Design a small multi-screen flow, reuse components and improve the prototype after feedback. Use fictional or appropriately anonymised information. Obtain appropriate permission before involving research participants or recording sessions.
Learning outcomes
The intended outcome is to create a coherent interface flow and explain how components and prototype interactions support its purpose. Further practice and feedback help develop professional confidence beyond the short-course scope.
Why Figma
RDE replaced the former Adobe XD standalone course with this applied Figma route. Adobe XD is in maintenance mode. The introductory Figma course remains separate: this route focuses on applied interface design, reusable components and interactive prototyping.
How you can study
Fully virtual live online or self-paced options are subject to current availability. Confirm software requirements and any optional assessment or mentoring before enrolment.
Career relevance and recognition
Develop relevant capability for design, product, analysis or digital project contributions. The course does not guarantee employment or automatically award a vendor certification. Ask RDE what completion recognition applies.
