Project Management Career Accelerator (PMCA)

A focused transition route into project and PMO work, combining project fundamentals, structured and Agile methods, practical tools, applied exercises and employment-readiness support.

Build focused evidence for a move into project and PMO work. This 18-week beginner-to-intermediate accelerator combines core project methods, digital tools, a simulated project and structured career preparation.

What you will develop

  • Understand traditional, Agile and hybrid lifecycles, stakeholders and PRINCE2 Foundation concepts.
  • Explore AgilePM, Scrum roles, events, artefacts, backlog management and progress metrics.
  • Create project plans, Gantt charts, Kanban boards, reports and dashboards using project and collaboration tools.
  • Develop risk mitigation, change control and governance awareness, alongside examination practice and career preparation.

Practical work

Plan and deliver a simulated project, then present a project report to a peer panel. Use documentation, progress evidence, risk decisions and reflection to strengthen your portfolio and interview discussion.

Career directions

Explore project support, coordination, PMO, project administration and developing delivery opportunities. The accelerator supports career preparation; job offers and immediate project-manager appointments are not guaranteed.

Junior contract-rate evidence remains limited. Professional benchmarks in the next-stage guides should not be treated as entry-level expectations.

Salary and contract-rate figures are indicative UK market ranges based on publicly available evidence reviewed at the stated date. Actual earnings vary according to experience, location, employer, sector, qualifications, responsibilities and employment type. Course completion does not guarantee employment, promotion or a particular level of earnings.

Mentoring connects technical learning with practical development and professional evidence. Your programme includes six months of job-search support and three months of in-role support.
