Agile Leadership Professional (ALP)

Develop professional Agile leadership capability across advanced Scrum practice, product ownership, scaling, coaching, change, stakeholder engagement, delivery metrics, governance and modern Agile tools.

Develop team leadership and scaled delivery practice in a 20 to 22-week professional programme. Connect coaching, product ownership, stakeholder engagement and governance around a scaled Agile project.

What you will develop

  • Practise advanced Scrum, servant leadership, facilitation, mentoring and conflict resolution.
  • Connect product roadmaps and releases with stakeholder needs and business value.
  • Compare scaling approaches such as SAFe, LeSS and Disciplined Agile; explore adoption and change strategies.
  • Track delivery with KPIs, burnup and burndown charts, cycle time, estimation and governance evidence.
  • Use advanced Jira, Azure DevOps and Businessmap (formerly Kanbanize) examples to support delivery flow and reporting.

Practical work

Deliver a scaled Agile project simulation with stakeholder involvement. Present the roadmap, team dependencies, metrics, risks and decisions, and explain how feedback changed the delivery approach.

Career directions

Develop towards Scrum Master, Product Owner and Agile delivery opportunities. Coaching and scaled leadership roles require relevant team and organisational delivery experience.

UK salary and contract-rate guide

Evidence reviewed: 6 October 2026. These selected UK job-title benchmarks support career planning and are not junior-only or guaranteed post-course earnings. Ranges represent the 25th to 75th percentiles in separate IT Jobs Watch vacancy samples.

Scrum Master

Permanent advertised salary: £60,000 to £75,000 a year. Contract rate: £463 to £588 a day.

Permanent salary source: Scrum Master

Contract-rate source: Scrum Master

The permanent sample contains 43 salaries over six months to 3 October 2026; the contract sample contains 123 daily rates over six months to 6 October 2026. These are different vacancy samples, not a matched pay package. Junior-specific rates need separate evidence.

Product Owner

Permanent advertised salary: £55,000 to £90,000 a year. Contract rate: £481 to £628 a day.

Permanent salary source: Product Owner

Contract-rate source: Product Owner

Both samples cover six months to 6 October 2026: 198 annual salaries and 176 daily rates. The job title is Product Owner, not the broader Product Ownership skill category.

Contract income depends on billable days, engagement terms, tax treatment including IR35, expenses and gaps between assignments.

Salary and contract-rate figures are indicative UK market ranges based on publicly available evidence reviewed at the stated date. Actual earnings vary according to experience, location, employer, sector, qualifications, responsibilities and employment type. Course completion does not guarantee employment, promotion or a particular level of earnings.

Mentoring and career support

Mentoring connects technical learning with practical development and professional evidence. Your programme includes six months of job-search support and three months of in-role support. Discuss the arrangements and starting dates with our team, including CV, LinkedIn and interview preparation. Employment is not guaranteed.

Certification and assessment information

Discuss SCRUMstudy Agile Master Certified (SAMC), SAFe Agilist and an appropriate Agile leadership route. For ICAgile, Leading with Agility (ICP-LEA) is a specific option to discuss; the source’s generic leadership label is not itself a named credential. Change Management Certificate also needs an exact provider and assessment. Confirm the current SAFe version and preparation route before booking.

RDE programme completion is separate from earning a vendor credential. Confirm preparation scope, authorised provider arrangements where required, eligibility, examination access, additional costs, subscriptions and renewals before enrolment. Preparation does not guarantee an examination pass or certification.
